What To Do With Your Halloween Candy

Halloween candy can undo your hard work to stay fit and healthy. It can be challenging to navigate the sea of sugar!

Resist the temptation by eliminating the temptation and donating your candy! Operation Gratitude https://www.operationgratitude.com is once again collecting ‘treats for our troops’ now through November 15th. This annual campaign is a fun way to say “thank you” to our troops in harm’s way. Click here to find a local candy collection site. Or, click here ad for a donation form and simply ship the candy yourself!

Operation Gratitude hopes to send 250,000 care packages this year. The organization delivered its one-millionth package last December! You can request a package be sent to U.S. Service Members who meet the following criteria:

  • Deployed at sea
  • In hostile environments overseas
  • Or, on unaccompanied hardship tours

We also want to protect our troops’ teeth, so Operation Gratitude suggests including toothbrushes, toothpaste, and dental floss in your package. Include a letter to add a personal ‘thank you’!
