Being an employee at Fitness Exchange, of course staying fit and working out is a huge part of my life. You can find me at the gym 5-6 times a week before work. I started really working out hard at the beginning of my senior year of high school. Going into my senior year of high school I weighed in at 230 pounds in physical education class. This was quite the self-esteem reducer, only being a height of 5’7 – needless to say I was overweight. Three days after this embarrassing weigh-in, I tore my ACL playing football. After seeing the doctor, I found out I needed surgery. With this in mind I knew I was not going to be physically active anymore and it was time to start dieting.
Prior to tearing my ACL I pretty much would eat anything and everything. When I started dieting I would eat 4 small meals throughout the day, with minimum fat and carbohydrates. The weight started melting off, between dieting and physical therapy following surgery. By the end of senior year of high school I was down 40 pounds, weighing in at 190. My dieting has continued and I exercise religiously. Now I am down to 175 pounds and in the best shape of my life, and couldn’t be happier!
